Teardown case study - facts verified against the live page

atayr.site - a photo-first app selling itself with no photos

atayr.site is a digital wardrobe and peer-to-peer clothes lending app in pre-launch. The founder posted it on r/SaaS on 2026-09-03 with honest numbers in the title: 75 visitors, 1 email signup. We checked the live page and posted a free teardown in the thread. This page is that teardown, re-verified against the live HTML on 2026-09-04.

Before: three leaks, counted

Every count below was taken from the live server HTML (not a cache) on 2026-09-04.

1. Zero images

The live page HTML contains not one <img> tag (counted from server HTML, 2026-09-04: 0).

atayr is a photo-first wardrobe app — snap-and-match, closet, lending — sold in 466 words with no visuals at all.

One phone mockup of the snap-and-match flow would do more than the middle 400 words.

2. No proof anyone is waiting

Counted on the live page: no founder name, no face, no signup count, no quote — anywhere.

The only ask is an email address, on pure trust: “Get early access. Free. No spam. We’ll email you when we launch.”

“Join N others already on the list” with the founder’s real N fixes it. Even a small true number beats zero.

3. The CTA pays nothing back

The promise is “We’ll email you when we launch” — no launch date, no early-bird reason to sign up today.

A visitor gives an email and gets nothing now in return.

Give the first 100 signups something today: early access, a locked founding price, first-dibs on the lending feature — anything concrete.

After: what the $49 48-Hour Funnel Repair rewrites it into

One-job copy

The page currently pitches two products at once (wardrobe advice and peer-to-peer lending) — the founder’s own r/SaaS thread surfaced this. The repair rewrites the fold around one job.

A proof block

Founder name, face if available, and the real signup count, placed next to the email form — so the ask is backed by evidence instead of trust alone.

A CTA with a reason

A dated or capped early-bird promise (“first 100 get X”) that pays the visitor back for the email — paste-ready, not a template.

Delivered paste-ready by email within 48 hours. One-time $49.
